Richard Pybus, the former Pakistan coach, has been shortlisted by the Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) as a candidate to coach the national team and will be interviewed on Friday. The board is also set to interview two other candidates later – Nottinghamshire director of cricket Mick Newell and former New Zealand batsman and coach Mark Greatbatch.Pybus arrived in Dhaka on Thursday night with the interview expected to take place the following day. Newell’s lack of international exposure and Greatbatch’s coaching record might work against them. Pybus hasn’t coached an international side since 2003 but his early arrival is a sign of the BCB’s intentions. A promessa do Tricolor, Marcos Paulo, que está nas categorias de base foi convocado para a seleção portuguesa sub-18. No momento em que completar 18 anos, ele poderá escolher qual país vai querer defender no futuro. Hoje, com 17 anos, o atacante tem contrato com o Fluminense até o meio de 2020.

أوضح مدافع برشلونة السابق، جيرارد بيكيه، سبب اعتزاله في منتصف الموسم وتحدث عن قضية اتهام العملاق الكتالوني برشوة الحكام وإمكانية ترشحه لمنصب الرئيس في المستقبل.

واعتزل بيكيه نهائيًا في شهر نوفمبر الماضي قبل انطلاق بطولة كأس العالم، بعدما أصبح يجلس على مقاعد البدلاء في أغلب مباريات الموسم تحت قيادة زميله السابق، تشافي هيرنانديز.

وقال بيكيه عن اعتزاله في حواره مع إذاعة “راديو كتالونيا”: “أعتقد أن القرار كان مفيدا لجميع الأطراف، بعد كل السنوات التي كنت فيها مع برشلونة وكل الألقاب التي فزت بها، لقد اخترت موعد اعتزالي وسعيد به”.

وتابع: “كنت متواجدًا لسنوات وكنت لاعبًا مهمًا، لم يعد الأمر كما كان، لا ألعب كل ثلاثة أيام، جسدي كان معتادا على ذلك وفكرت في القرار وأعتقد أنني كنت على حق في قرار الاعتزال، عندما شعرت بعدم أهميتي كما قلت من قبل سأعتزل”.

وعما إذا كان يفتقد اللعب: “لا، الآن أدرك كل ما فاتني، أشاهد مباريات برشلونة ولكنني لا أفتقد أبدًا لعب المباريات”.

وأضاف: “برشلونة يؤدي بشكل رائع للغاية، تهتز شباكه بالقليل من الأهداف، يكسر الأرقام القياسية لأتلتيكو مدريد وديبورتيفو لاكورونيا، أشعر بأن الفريق سيفوز بلقب الدوري، سأكون سعيدًا إذا حدث ذلك سواء احتسب لي أم لا، لم أفكر بعد في إمكانية الذهاب للاحتفال به مع زملائي”.
