Em entrevista exclusiva ao LANCE!, Zico relembrou um fato inusitado sobre um jogo histórico do Flamengo. Em 1981, o clube tentava contra o Botafogo devolver a goleada de 6 a 0 imposta pelo adversário em 1972, no dia do aniversário rubro-negro. Antes da importante partida, o Galinho de Quintino foi em uma festa acompanhado de Jayme de Almeida e Canterelli e encontrou um torcedor do rival. Ficou até o início do dia dançando e arrebentou na partida, a qual o Fla devolveu o 6 a 0.

– Me lembro de um caso, no jogo 6 a 0 (contra o Botafogo, no Campeonato Carioca de 1981), estava eu, Jayme de Almeida, Cantarelli, a turma que a gente saía, mas estávamos dançando na pista e veio um botafoguense que disse para eu continuar na pista, era uma sexta o jogo era domingo e podia ficar até 5h, mas disse para ele que se eu fosse embora naquele momento estava tranquilo, mas se eu ficasse até 5h o Botafogo ia sofrer comigo – afirmou Zico, antes de completar:

– Coitado, esse cara nunca mais deve se esquecer disso, e ele der ter achado que eu fiquei até às 5h mesmo. Jogador sabe a exposição com toda essa coisa e tem de se preservar um pouco mais. Ninguém vai impedir de ir a uma festa, proibir de tomar uma cerveja, mas hoje a exigência é grande, jogo atrás de jogo e se vive do corpo, do preparo. O mundo não acaba hoje. os caras querem fazer tudo de uma vez só, para tudo tem sua hora.

خضع لاعبو الفريق الأول لكرة القدم بنادي الزمالك وأعضاء الجهاز الفني والجهازين الطبي والإداري لمسحة طبية عصر اليوم بمقر النادي قبل انطلاق التدريبات الجماعية.

ويستعد الزمالك للسفر إلى كينيا لمواجهة توسكر الكيني يوم 16 أكتوبر الجاري في ذهاب دور الـ32 من بطولة دوري أبطال إفريقيا والتي ستقام بكينيا، على أن تقام مباراة العودة أحد يومي 22 أو 23 أكتوبر الجاري بالقاهرة.

وتطير بعثة الزمالك إلى كينيا على ثلاث مراحل وسيسافر وفد يوم 10 أكتوبر يضم الدكتور محمد أسامة رئيس الجهاز الطبي وإبراهيم زارع إداري الفريق والشيف الخاص بالفريق، على أن يسافر باقي أفراد البعثة يوم 11 من الشهر الجاري.

According to The Times, Tottenham want to sign Alexander Sorloth and they may just have been given a boost to their hopes of doing so.

The newspaper reported that the Norwegian is keen to move on from Trabzonspor, whose president Ahmet Agaoglu has said that “Sorloth wants to go” amid further interest from RB Leipzig.

However, Spurs’ prospects of signing the 24-year-old could rest on whether they can strike a deal to end his two-year loan with the Turkish club, as he is still a Crystal Palace player. The Eagles do not have an option to cut short his loan and they would need to reach a financial agreement with Trabzonspor if they want to sell him to Tottenham.

Sorloth enjoyed a terrific first season on loan at Trabzonspor, hitting 33 goals in all competitions for the Turkish Super Lig outfit. To put that into context, it is the same tally that Harry Kane and Dele Alli, two of Tottenham’s top three scorers in 2019/20, managed between them (as per TransferMarkt).

The Norwegian’s prolific spell in Turkey is in stark contrast to the form that he showed for Crystal Palace, for whom he has netted just once in 20 appearances and struggled for game-time prior to loan spells with Gent and Trabzonspor.

Tottenham manager Jose Mourinho has indicated that he wants to bring in a striker to compete with Kane, who is currently Spurs’ only senior centre-forward, and the Lilywhites are reportedly meeting with the Turkish club to discuss his future.

Some Spurs fans may have their reservations about Sorloth given his struggles in England with Crystal Palace, although he has shown during his time in Turkey that he can be a marvellously prolific striker – something which Tottenham don’t have aside from Kane, whose luck with injuries is not the greatest.

Aside from the complications arising from Palace needing to terminate his loan deal, though, RB Leipzig have reportedly made a £16m offer already for the Norwegian, who may not be a regular starter at Spurs given Kane’s formidable goal return for the club and Mourinho’s preference for a 4-2-3-1 formation.

That the 24-year-old seemingly wants to leave Trabzonspor is encouraging for Spurs – it then becomes a matter of being able to jump through the subsequent hoops in their attempts to land him.

رد المدرب الأيرلندي بريندان رودجرز، المدير الفني لنادي ليستر سيتي، على الإدارة الجديدة لنادي نيوكاسل يونايتد، في ظل رغبة صندوق الاستثمار السعودي، في تعيين مدرب الثعالب مديرًا فنيًا للفريق الأول بالماكبايس.

وكان صندوق الاستثمارات السعودي، قد نجح في الاستحواذ على نادي نيوكاسل بدفع 300 مليون جنيه إسترليني، لمالك النادي مايلك أشلي.

وترغب الإدارة السعودية في إقالة مدرب الفريق الحالي، ستيف بروس، بسبب النتائج السلبية للفريق مُنذ بداية الموسم الحالي.

شبكة “سكاي سبورتس” ذكرت في تقرير لها أمس الأربعاء أن نيوكاسل يريد تعيين رودجرز وعلى استعداد لدفع 16 مليون يورو لكسر الشرط الجزائي في عقده مع الثعالب وقيادة النادي ذو الأسود والأبيض.

ولكن الشبكة أكدت، في تقرير جديد لها اليوم، أن رودجرز ليس لديه أي اهتمام بالتحدث إلى نيوكاسل حول إمكانية توليه منصب المدير الفني.

وقالت الشبكة إن رودجرز غير مهتم بأي وظيفة شاغرة محتملة في نيوكاسل، مُشيرة إلى أن المدرب سعيد في ليستر ويعتقد أنه لا يزال هناك الكثير لتحقيقه مع الفريق الحالي.

رودجرز كان تولي تدريب ليستر سيتي في فبراير 2019، وقاد الفريق مرتين لإنهاء الموسم بين الخمسة الكبار، كما فاز الموسم الماضي بلقب كأس الاتحاد الإنجليزي على حساب تشيلسي.

يُذكر أن نيوكاسل تحت قيادة مدربه الحالي ستيف بروس، لم يُحقق أي انتصار في 7 مباريات بالمسابقة الإنجليزية، حيث خسر في 4 مباريات وتعادل في ثلاثة، ويحتل المرتبة التاسعة عشر وقبل الأخيرة في سلم ترتيب الدوري الإنجليزي برصيد 3 نقاط.

Para o jogo contra o São Paulo, o meia Carlos Alberto volta a ficar disponível para atuar após ter cumprido suspensão contra a Chapecoense. A crowdfunding campaign set up by a Portsmouth fan to pay off manager Kenny Jackett’s contract has been axed due to offensive comments.

The Fratton Park outfit drew their opening two League One games of the season against Shrewsbury Town and Rochdale before last weekend’s defeat to Wigan Athletic.

With such a stuttering start, pressure continues to develop on Jackett following last season’s failure to gain promotion from League One after play-off heartbreak.

Such pressure has seen Jackett’s job come under scrutiny, promoting one fan, Steve Betteridge, from Crookhorn, to create an account on JustGiving with a target of £400,000.

The campaign lasted less than half a day, however, as JustGiving this afternoon stepped in to remove the page from their site on the basis that it had broken guidelines due to offensive comments from some Pompey fans.

Despite such poor form and criticism of Jackett, The News understood earlier this week that the manager’s position is currently safe, claiming that the first team’s poor start has little significance when considering the financial worries currently across the English Football League.

Whilst the crowdfunding campaign may have been cancelled, it acts as a message to both Jackett and the club’s board that some fans are growing disillusioned.

Results need to improve thick and fast if the unrest is not to multiple to the point that the manager’s job becomes untenable.

Aston Villa manager Dean Smith is set to ship out Anwar El Ghazi, Frederic Guilbert and Henri Lansbury before the domestic transfer window closes, according to reports.

Smith’s clearout continues

Smith has been one of the busier Premier League managers this summer after making an array of signings that tallied £74.12m (as per TransferMarkt). However, with the window still, open for clubs to do business with each other in the UK, that figure could be set to increase.

New signing Ollie Watkins has already shown what he can after scoring a sensational hat-trick during his side’s 7-2 victory against Liverpool before the international break.

With this in mind, players may have to be sacrificed to control the club’s wage bill and avoid a bloated squad – and there could soon be action on this front.

According to Football Insider, Anwar El Ghazi, Frederic Guilbert and Henri Landsbury could all be heading for the Villa Park exit before next Friday’s transfer deadline.

The report added that the squad’s overhaul in the summer has given the club leeway to ship out some fringe players that are not getting game-time this season.

El Ghazi, Guilbert and Landsbury were all key players for the Villa side that helped them get back into the Premier League in 2019, beating Derby County 2-1 in the Championship play-off final at Wembley. However, none of them have even a matchday squad in the league so far this term.

Smith set to wave goodbye to deadwood

Smith seems to be making all the right moves on the transfer front this summer, with Villa flying high in second place in the top flight.

While bringing in some promising signings who have already made an impact, the Englishman could now claw back some of those funds by selling El Ghazi, Guilbert and Lansbury.

According to Spotrac, they are on a combined weekly salary of just over £110,000, which could prove difficult in moving them on if their agents have any objections to possible pay cuts.

If they do get these deals over the line, it might leave Smith with a temptation to make one or two late purchases in the transfer window.
