Há quem diga que entre as reflexões feitas por Abel, seria possível inclusive cogitar que ele estaria questionando sua permanência no Brasil e consequentemente no Palmeiras. Há quem diga, porém, que foi mais um desabafo sobre os tipos de briga que ele vai entrar daqui para frente, uma vez que entende que a entidade máxima do futebol nacional pode não estar agindo de uma forma equilibrada em comparação com os treinadores brasileiros. O português usou o comunicado da CBF após João Martins, auxiliar técnico. questionar o “sistema”.

– Eu conheço o futebol brasileiro melhor do que nunca e já dei aqui declarações muito fortes sobre o que me faz ficar aqui. Não vou tirar uma vírgula daquilo que eu disse. Quando você vê a CBF dar um comunicado somente para a equipe técnica do Palmeiras, para algo que outros treinadores brasileiros fizeram, e só houve um comunicado direcionado para a equipe técnica do Palmeiras, isso me faz pensar profundamente sobre o que eu quero, porque quando eu tiro o celular da mão de um jornalista, é um ato mal feito, pedi desculpas. Um outro jogador, dentro de um recinto, fez a mesma coisa, jogou no chão, e não é igual. Eu reflito sozinho, me faz pensar o que vale a pena e o que não vale. Se não, tenho que dizer “Abel, sempre foi assim, se gosta, gosta, se não gosta…”. Portanto, o que eu tenho que fazer é ajudar os meus jogadores.

– Fico triste quando vejo entidades apontarem setas somente para um lado, quando vários treinadores tiveram desabafos, que foi o que aconteceu (na coletiva de João Martins depois do jogo contra o Athletico-PR). O diretor do Santos fez isso, o Renato Gaúcho, de forma delicada, apontou o dedo também. O Felipão também… Mas a carta veio endereçada somente com um nome, com um destino. Com a sequência dos acontecimentos das últimas semanas, Abel Ferreira parece ter repensado suas atitudes em relação aos árbitros. Ele, inclusive, disse ao advogado do Palmeiras para ficar despreocupado, que as expulsões e julgamentos não irão mais acontecer. A única coisa que ele prometeu ficar atento é no que vai acontecer em relação ao seu auxiliar João Martins, que foi denunciado ao STJD e deve ser julgado em breve pelo desabafo que fez depois do duelo com o Athletico-PR. O português chegou até a falar em xenofobia entre os seus receios.

– Embora não pareça, não adianta mais falar com os árbitros, vou deixá-los em paz. Já disse para o meu advogado ficar tranquilo, o Palmeiras pode mandá-lo embora, que comigo não vai ter mais problema nenhum, nem comigo, nem com a minha comissão técnica. Mas infelizmente querem caçar o João pelo que ele falou. O que eu vou ficar atento é o que vão fazer com o João e o que vão fazer com os outros que falaram a mesma coisa que ele. Aí eu vou entender o que quer dizer xenofobia. Eu nunca estive em um país que ouvisse tanto esse termos, nem sabia o que era isso. Manchester City’s 4-0 opening day success over Wolverhampton Wanderers in the Premier League now feels like an awfully long time ago.

Indeed, since Pep Guardiola’s men romped home to a resounding victory at Molineux, the Citizens have tasted defeat two times in quick succession, with Tottenham Hotspur proving to be their kryptonite once more in a 2-0 home loss, before travelling to Brighton and Hove Albion and coming unstuck late on in a 2-1 defeat.

This poor start to the season, after a topsy-turvy 2024/25 campaign, will be seriously worrying to those who fill out the Etihad week in, week out, who will now be fearing a defeat in the Manchester Derby later on today.

Suffering those two defeats on the spin does look to have jolted City into life as to what they could do when transfers are back in play, with one new defensive target already reportedly on their shopping list who could soon call Gianluigi Donnarumma a teammate at the back.

It will be interesting to see if the former Paris St. Germain goalkeeper gets the nod to start over James Trafford against Ruben Amorim’s Red Devils, having now sealed a move to England.

Guardiola might well favour his new recruit over the young Englishman, considering City have conceded four goals across their last two defeats, with one effort conceded against Spurs all Trafford’s own making.

The Spaniard might also have a move for Marc Guehi up his sleeve to further improve his defensive personnel, with Football Insider recently revealing that City could soon beat Liverpool to the signature of the Crystal Palace centre-back.

Amazingly, the leaky former Premier League champions might even be able to snap up Guehi on a free transfer, with it going down as a big coup to snatch the England international away from the reaches of Anfield for nothing.

Just fresh off scoring his first-ever England goal during the international break, Guehi will hope he can land a bumper move in the near future to the likes of City, having seen a deadline-day move to Liverpool heartbreakingly fall through.

However, the inconsistent Citizens might well be brewing their own homegrown version of Guehi right now, who has been showered with some very high praise already, despite only being 17 years of age.

After all, the sparkling success story of Rico Lewis in the first team picture at the Etihad is enough to give City great confidence in the next generation of talents coming through, with Lewis recently penning a new contract at his boyhood club that takes him to 2030.

By that point, City academy starlet Stephen Mfuni will be hoping he’s making waves in the senior picture himself, having already been branded as “one of the most talented teenage CBs in world football” by scout Jacek Kulig last year.

Kulig further expands to state that Mfuni is both “dominant” and “elegant” with his general play out from the back, with the teenager now hopeful he can be a similar Lewis-style revelation in the City first-team and perhaps save Guardiola and Co. some hassle in the market by further being a Guehi-like presence.

After all, the in-demand Eagles defender is also a well-rounded player in his own right at Selhurst Park, having had to wrestle with the difficulties, too, of being a promising youngster himself at Chelsea.

He boasts an 85% pass accuracy in the Premier League this season, also matched by his ability to win four duels on average per clash as a dominant force aerially.

Mfuni has also displayed this same forceful presence in the air when heading home a recent goal in U18 action versus the Red Devils last season, with his overall numbers for the England U19s in the recent U19 Euros – as seen above – further showing off a talent that’s both calm on the ball but fierce in a battle, much like the soon-to-be out-of-contract warrior.

Of course, it would be foolish to anticipate that Mfuni would be able to come into the first-team picture right away and be as confident as Guehi, with the 25-year-old having to fight hard himself to become a Premier League-established star, as seen in his top-flight debut not coming until he was 21.

Yet, the hope will be – down the line – that the teenage sensation can be City’s own homegrown version of Guehi, regardless of whether Guardiola and Co. get their hands on the 6-foot titan or not.

وقال نصار في تصريحات لبرنامج “لعبة والتانية” على راديو “ميجا إف إم”: “الأهلي لم يتفاوض معنا لضم عمرو الجزار واللاعب لن يرحل عن الفريق، نحن متمسكون به، وكل ما تردد عن وجود مفاوضات من الأهلي غير صحيح”.

وأضاف: “طارق مصطفى المدير الفني السابق لفريق البنك الأهلي من أكثر المدربين المحترمين وما قاله أحمد ياسر عنه بشأن تقاضيه أموالاً وعمولات للدفع بلاعبين معينين، غير صحيح جملة وتفصيلا”.

Somerset indebted to Rew for slim resistance as tough fourth-innings challenge beckons

You have to go back to September 2015 for the last time Sussex won a game in Division One of the County Championship – or May of the same summer for victory at Hove. And while it would be premature to say that decade-long wait is about to come to an end, they could hardly want for a more advantageous position after two days of this encounter with Somerset.Only two members of the 2015 squad are still involved at Sussex: Ollie Robinson, currently with a foot injury, and Fynn Hudson-Prentice, in his second spell at the club after being released (Tymal Mills, now in his benefit year, is another survivor but no longer involved in red-ball). As many as four are still playing for other counties – bonus point if you can name them* – which tells you something about Sussex’s tribulations in the intervening period.Under Paul Farbrace, they have finally hit upon the right blend of youth and experience. On the back of winning the Division Two title, Farbrace eschewed talk of survival and declared that Sussex were aiming for top four as a minimum. After acquitting themselves well in their opening-round trip to Edgbaston, they have lived up to such ambitions by dictating terms against Somerset.A handy 93-run lead on first innings was secured in large part thanks to the efforts of Sean Hunt, a strapping 23-year-old left-armer, in the side for Robinson, who claimed his maiden five-wicket haul. That provided the stage for Tom Haines, Sussex’s homegrown England Lions opener, to record his 13th career hundred – and his first in the Championship’s top tier.Haines was briefly catapulted into the captaincy during the upheaval that accompanied the departure of Ben Brown (you can have that one) in 2021, a season in which he scored 1000 first-class runs, but under Farbrace has been allowed to concentrate on his own game. This was a chanceless innings as he and Daniel Hughes put on a breezy opening partnership of 184 – his third century stand with Hughes since the Australian signed last year – to leave Somerset looking for snookers in their bid to avoid defeat.Haines went to three figures with his 12th four, to go with a brace of sixes, as he skipped out to smite Jack Leach’s left-arm spin through long-on. He and Sussex’s other Horsham Tom, No. 3 Clark, added an unbroken fifty stand to stretch the lead towards 350 with six sessions left in the game.Having been blunted for exactly 200 overs in Worcestershire’s second innings during their draw at Taunton, Somerset looked more than a little listless here, with the honourable exception of James Rew, whose busy, unbeaten 80 from 83 balls prevented the day from being a complete rout. Leach was the one bowler to enjoy success, Hughes edging an attempted cut behind as a century beckoned; their only consolation may be an easing pitch, lacking the moisture of day one, which could push Sussex towards a more cautious declaration.After Hudson-Prentice had provided the spark in a raucous conclusion to the first day, Sussex drove home the advantage during Saturday’s morning session – that despite a partnership of 110 for the eighth wicket between Rew and Lewis Gregory, which staved off the threat, however unlikely, of Somerset being made to follow on.Hunt sharpened their concern with two early wickets. Tom Lammonby was defeated by extra bounce and seam movement as he inside-edged through to the diving John Simpson, Sussex’s keeper-captain then clinging on at the second attempt to remove Kasey Aldridge as Hunt jagged one across the right-hander from over the wicket. That left Somerset in sickly mood at 79 for 7, with 21-year-old Rew shouldering much of the burden during a doughty, unbeaten knock.Rew was the support act last week, his 152 against Worcestershire outshone by Tom Banton’s triple-hundred. He looked in dapper form, pulling and driving with assurance as he glided along at close to a run a ball, his one moment of genuine concern coming when a half-formed jab at Jayden Seales flew over the slip cordon for a boundary that brought up the century stand.It took Hunt just four balls to separate the pair on his return to the attack, though Gregory will not reflect on the shot with any satisfaction as he chipped tamely to mid-on. At 6ft 5in and with the ability to swing the ball from a high action, it is not hard to see why Sussex signed Hunt out of Surrey’s academy in 2021, though it has taken him time to hone those raw attributes. Leaner and meaner – and not just because of the rogue moustache that is currently popular in the Sussex dressing-room – he wasted no time in docking the Somerset tail, Simpson taking his tally of catches in the innings to five.* Ben Brown, Luke Wells, Chris Jordan, Harry Finch

After finally making his first Liverpool appearance against Atletico Madrid, Alexander Isak will have his sights set on the Merseyside derby against Everton and Arne Slot has already dropped a hint about his potential role.

It was never going to be a game that saw Isak steal the show in the same way that he so often did for Newcastle United. He’s not quite there yet, as he works his way back to sharpness. But the Swede certainly showed plenty of glimpses.

What particularly stood out is how Florian Wirtz also burst into life for the first time in Liverpool colours when combining with his fellow summer arrival. That partnership, if it continues to click, will be one to watch.

Although it’s difficult to criticise a side that have won four from four in the Premier League, Liverpool looked far more balanced against Atletico Madrid before complacency forced them into winning late on once again.

Isak, Mohamed Salah, Wirtz and Cody Gakpo formed a formidable frontline, whilst Dominik Szoboszlai and Ryan Gravenberch proved that they’ll be a tough midfield partnership to break up for the rest of Slot’s options in that department.

Jeremie Frimpong’s influence should also be noted. The addition of a natural, overlapping full-back – which Szoboszlai did not provide – allowed Salah the space that he has been craving to cut inside and return to his most influential form.

Finally complete now that Isak is up and running, the depth of quality that this current Liverpool side have at their disposal should be frightening for any Premier League rival. Speaking about the Swede’s potential role against Everton, Slot told reporters that, whilst Isak surprised him, fans shouldn’t get their hopes too high for another start in a matter of days. Instead, Anfield may be forced to welcome their new star striker from the bench on Saturday afternoon.

Of course, such is the depth of talent in Liverpool’s squad, it will likely be Hugo Ekitike who starts against Everton. The Frenchman has scored two Premier League goals in four games and has looked more than capable of pushing Isak all the way for a starting place this season.

Nesta segunda-feira (4), o caso envolvendo Antony e a DJ Gabriela Cavallin teve um novo episódio. O brasileiro está sendo investigado no Brasil e na Inglaterra por violência doméstica contra a ex-namorada.

Segundo matéria divulgada pelo portal “UOL”, algumas provas que foram atreladas ao inquérito mostram as ameaças e agressões feitas pelo jogador à Gabriela. A DJ conta que a primeira agressão ocorreu no dia 1 de junho de 2022, quando ainda estava grávida de um filho de Antony. O motivo da ação do jogador teria sido uma crise de ciúme, por conta de uma foto postada por Cavallin nas suas redes sociais, em uma boate – o casal estava separado naquele momento.

Em nota oficial divulgada também nesta segunda (4), a CBF explica que a decisão do corte foi em decorrência dos novos fatos que vieram a público e para preservar os envolvidos no caso.

“Em função dos fatos que vieram a público nesta segunda-feira (4/9), envolvendo o atacante Antony, do Manchester United, e que precisam ser apurados, e a fim de preservar a suposta vítima, o jogador, a Seleção Brasileira e a CBF, a entidade informa que o atleta está desconvocado da Seleção Brasileira.”

Na mesma nota, a entidade informa a convocação de Gabriel Jesus, do Arsenal-ING, como substituto de Antony. Segundo a CBF, o atacante já estava em uma pré-lista enviada para a Fifa.

“Para o seu lugar, o técnico Fernando Diniz chamou Gabriel Jesus, que estava pré-selecionado em uma lista de 36 jogadores, enviada à Fifa”.

Os jogadores convocados para essa Data Fifa já começaram a se apresentar em Belém (PA), onde a Seleção recebe a Bolívia, nesta sexta-feira (8), pela primeira rodada das Eliminatórias para a Copa do Mundo de 2026. No dia 12, terça-feira, o Brasil vai até Lima, no Peru, para enfrentar a seleção local no segundo compromisso desse período.

وقال أيمن في تصريحات مع كريم رمزي لبرنامج “لعبة والتانية” على راديو “ميجا إف إم”: “التعادل مع الأهلي بالأمس، بداية الانطلاقة الحقيقية لبتروجيت هذا الموسم، بعد تذبذب نتائج الفريق منذ انطلاق الدوري”.

وأضاف: “نظام الدوري الموسم الحالي سبب ابتعاد بتروجيت عن مستواه، كنا الأقرب إلى الفوز في مواجهة الأهلي لولا إهدار الفرص، ولكن بشكل عام التعادل مرضٍ بالنسبة لنا”.

وتابع: “هناك اتفاق مبدئي مع الزمالك لضم حامد حمدان، مدافع الفريق، في فترة الانتقالات الشتوية المقبلة، والظروف المالية التي يمر بها الزمالك ستجعلنا نغير آلية تنفيذ التعاقد المادي لرحيل حامد حمدان”.

وأردف أن الزمالك كان قد اتفق في وقت سابق على إبرام عقد ثلاثي مع النادي لضم حامد حمدان، مدافع الفريق، ولكنه غير موقع من أي طرف حتى هذه اللحظة.

وأضاف: “رغبة حامد حمدان ستحسم وجهته إلى ناديه الجديد، واللاعب سيرحل في يناير وليس لدينا أي أزمة في بيع اللاعب خلال فترة الانتقالات الشتوية المقبلة”.

وتابع: “لا توجد خطوة إيجابية من الزمالك لضم حمدان حاليًا، وأول عرض رسمي لضم اللاعب جاء قبل غلق باب القيد في أغسطس بيومين فقط”.

وعن احتمالية انتقاله للأهلي، اختتم: “حامد حمدان سينتقل للأهلي في حالتين فقط، الأولى اختيار اللاعب اللعب للنادي الأهلي، والثانية عدم التزام الزمالك بالشروط المالية التي وضعها نادي بتروجيت”.
