Apontado como um dos destaques de 2021, o jogador de 24 anos, apresentou ótimos números na atual temporada. Ao todo foram 25 jogos e 11 gols marcados. Para se ter ideia, Bassani foi o artilheiro do Campeonato Paranaense com 7 gols pelo Maringá, e no segundo semestre, ele foi o destaque do Figueirense na última edição da Série C do Brasileiro. Bassani chega com contrato firmado por três temporadas.
‘É um momento de muita felicidade e gratidão, estou muito contente com a minha chegada no juventude, um clube enorme e que tem muito a crescer no cenário do futebol brasileiro, e vou dar sempre o meu melhor com a camisa do juventude. Segundo o próprio atleta, esse foi um ponto que pesou na hora da escolha.

Não vejo a hora de estar em campo vestindo essa camisa, temos o campeonato gaúcho já no começo da temporada, Copa do Brasil e depois o Brasileirão. Sheffield Wednesday manager Danny Rohl has admitted that a “key player” at the club may not remain at Hillsborough past January, acting as a big concern.

The Owls secured their biggest result of the season so far last Saturday, winning 3-2 at home to Championship leaders West Brom. It stopped the rot for Wednesday, who hadn’t won in the league since the 4-0 victory over Plymouth Argyle at Hillsborough on the opening weekend, and the fact that it came against one of the strongest teams in the division made it feel even more significant.
For Rohl, it was a big day at the office, considering there may have been murmurings of discontent growing after such a poor run of form, and the hope now is that Wednesday are able to kick on and push themselves further up the Championship table, improving on their current 18th-place position.
There are many important players for the Owls currently, from James Beadle in goal to legendary veteran Barry Bannan in midfield, but a concerning update has now emerged regarding another figure.
"Key player" for Sheffield Wednesday could leave in January
Speaking to The Star, Rohl admitted that Shea Charles isn’t guaranteed to stay at Sheffield Wednesday all season, with a return to his parent club Southampton in January not out of the question, should they wish to recall him.
“I felt we needed exactly such a key player in the middle of the pitch. He is a good cover with Barry and we come more and more together, it all means Barry has some freedom and can attack again. It’s the reason why he (Bannan) has goals and assists because he knows Shea is always working hard in both directions. He is strong with and against the ball, he is very good as a holding six. He understands where he has to cover, winning balls, accelerating the game.
“Hopefully we can keep him the whole season – you never know what happens if he performs in this direction. For me, he is a great player and you see what it means when you bring quality players in. This is the difference in this league. All in all we need a team performance every day, every week and it is all about the team.”
Losing Charles in January would be such a blow for Wednesday, considering how seamlessly he has settled into life at Hillsborough since arriving on loan from Saints in the summer. The 20-year-old has averaged 3.3 tackles and 2.5 aerial duel wins per game across four Championship appearances for the Owls, highlighting the off-the-ball ability he has brought to the team. وأكد دياب أن الرابطة استغلت هذه الأيام المحدودة لتنظيم جولة واحدة من الدوري خلال الشهر، بهدف ضمان إنهاء البطولة في موعدها المحدد يوم 30 مايو المقبل، وفقًا للجدول الزمني المتفق عليه مع الأندية.

Dominic Solanke has had a brilliant start to life at Tottenham. He was exactly what they needed. A focal point, a frontman, someone capable of linking the play, dropping in and scoring goals. Harry Kane, pretty much, isn’t it?
Well, Solanke is his own man and he could coincidentally don an England jersey alongside Kane over the coming days having been named in Lee Carsley’s latest Three Lions squad.
It’s a just reward for a fine first few months at Spurs in which he’s overcome injury to score three goals and supply two assists across eight outings.
Even during the club’s disastrous 3-2 defeat to Brighton, the former Bournemouth man came away from the South Coast with praise.
He played a delicious ball in behind the Seagulls’ defence for Brennan Johnson’s opener and was involved in James Maddison’s goal too.
Although he’s been a great signing at first glance, Ange Postecoglou and Co are not resting on their laurels.
Spurs looking to strengthen their attack
Solanke signed over the summer in a deal worth £65m. It was a move that raised eyebrows. After all, the Chelsea academy graduate had only really scored goals regularly at Premier League level in one season.
You can perhaps understand why there is a reluctance to solely rely on him then. Indeed, according to reports from Football Insider last weekend, another striker could arrive at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium in 2025.
That forward is Porto powerhouse Samu Omorodion. The Spaniard only traded Atletico Madrid for Portugal over the summer after a move to Chelsea broke down but English clubs still have a vested interest in the 20-year-old.
The report notes that Spurs have sent scouts to watch the player and were in attendance as the young attacker scored twice against Manchester United in the Europa League last week.

Why Omorodion would be a good signing
When Chelsea agreed a fee of £38m to sign the Spanish striker from Atletico over the summer questions were asked.
After all, he had only ever scored nine goals at senior level and was an incredibly raw prospect.
The deal involving Chelsea ultimately collapsed but he is now proving in the top-flight of Portuguese football exactly why Todd Boehly and Co were pushing so hard to bring him to the Premier League.
Described as an “elite” forward by analyst Ben Mattinson, Omorodion happens to be outscoring the aforementioned Solanke having beaten the goalkeeper on seven occasions in just seven matches already this term.
He has played 466 minutes and as a result, is scoring at an even quicker rate than former Spurs man Kane this season.
Much to no one’s surprise, Tottenham’s all-time record goalscorer has been on fire this season and has scored ten goals in nine appearances. That’s more than Omorodion but the Spanish youngster is scoring a goal every 66 minutes and at a rate of 1.21 per 90 compared to Kane’s record of every 71 minutes and 0.89 goals per 90.
That proves just how exceptional the Porto sensation has been in 2024/25 to date and why he’d be a cracking signing for Spurs.
So, how does he differ from their summer signing of a few months ago?

So, on the evidence of the above, it does appear as though the Tottenham man offers a more well-rounded style of play.
He’s excellent at progressing the ball through carries and passing and he’s also pretty strong when it comes to aerial duels.
That said, Omorodion is evidently the more clinical asset and it’s not as though he can’t offer anything other than goals. Despite Solanke proving more progressive with his passing it’s actually the Porto star who supplies more key passes. Interestingly, he’s also better in the air.
You might well suggest that Spurs don’t need a new centre forward after the arrival of Solanke a few months ago but if an opportunity comes up to sign Spain’s rising star in the future they must take it with both hands. He looks like the real deal at the moment.

Scotland shook the T20 World Cup on the opening day by beating the No. 6 ranked Bangladesh by six runs. The margin doesn’t however reflect just how well Scotland played at the Al Amerat ground. The little-known Chris Greaves, playing only his second international match, rescued his side with a quickfire 45 after Scotland slipped to 53 for 6. Then with his quickish legspin, Greaves removed Shakib Al Hasan and Mushfiqur Rahim just when Bangladesh had started to make a move towards the 141-run chase.Greaves was calm under pressure with the bat, adding 51 runs for the seventh wicket with Mark Watt. He scrapped hard in the last five overs, which ultimately helped Scotland immensely in terms of giving them energy in the field, and then sucking the life out of Bangladesh.Brad Wheal took three wickets while Greaves finished with two scalps. Josh Davey and Watt got one each, while Safyaan Sharif closed out the game in the last over, even though Mahedi Hasan threatened briefly with a six.Failure to launch in the endBut despite the sluggish nature of the Shakib-Mushfiqur partnership, when they added 47 off 7.4 overs, Bangladesh always knew that they had Mahmudullah, Afif Hossain and Nurul Hasan to get the job done in the last five overs.Afif survived a dropped catch in the 16th over, but he could strike only two fours in his 12-ball 18. Was this going to be the turnaround for Soumya, who struggled badly against Australia in August, and was mostly dropped against New Zealand in September? He had already been picked over Mohammad Naim, who himself was struggling for runs, after he had made couple of thirties in the warm-up games.But Scotland captain Kyle Coetzer wisely put a man at deep midwicket, a standard decision in such a situation. But when Soumya struck a similar shot off Josh Davey in the second over, the man at midwicket, Munsey, didn’t have to move an inch to complete the catch. Soumya looked rather daft for trying the same aerial shot, as it looked like he wasn’t aware of the fielding change. It wasn’t really rocket science but Coetzer looked like a genius.Scotland keep Shakib, Mushfiqur quietScotland played on Bangladesh’s poor start, by keeping Shakib and Mushfiqur Rahim quiet throughout their 47-run stand. Only in the ninth over Mushfiqur hammered Leask for two sixes, but the experienced duo were surprisingly batted conservatively. Finally when Shakib did hit out at Greaves, Callum MacLeod took an excellent running catch around the deep midwicket boundary.Spinners dominate ScotlandScotland lost their way just when the aggressive George Munsey was getting into his big-hitting groove. Offspinner Mahedi took two wickets in the eighth over to stop Scotland on their tracks. He trapped Matthew Cross lbw attempting a sweep, before he bowled Munsey, who had struck two sixes and two fours in his 23-ball 29.Shakib followed up Mahedi’s double-wicket over with one of his own, and it took him to the top of T20I’s wicket-taking chart. Richie Berrington fell trying to clear long-on, where Afif Hossain took an excellent catch. When Michael Leask struck the fourth ball of the over to long-off where Liton Das had an easier catch, Shakib’s tally reached 108, one more than Malinga.Mahedi further dented Scotland in the following over when he bowled Callum MacLeod for five. From 45 for 1, they slipped to 53 for 6, losing five wickets for eight runs in the space of 3.2 overs.Greaves, Watt dig deepBangladesh released some of the pressure when Afif went for ten runs in the 13th over. Playing only his second T20I, Greaves showed no nerves. He hammered two sixes and four boundaries in his 28-ball 45, Scotland’s top score in the innings. Watt contributed 22 off 17 balls with two fours, before holing out to Soumya Sarkar off Taskin Ahmed.Their 51-run stand is the highest for Scotland for the seventh wicket, crucially picking them past the 100-run mark when they looked down the barrel at 53 for 6 in the 12th over.Greaves takes down TaskinBut Watt’s wicket didn’t have any effect on Greaves, who went back to work on Taskin. He cracked him past point for four before pasting him with an upper-cut for his second six. When Graves struck Taskin’s next ball for a nice cover drive, suddenly Taskin’s shoulder slouched, Mahmudullah had a frown and Scotland felt a bit better despite being seven wickets down. Davey and Sharif hammered one six each in the last two overs, which went for 21, and took Scotland to a fighting 140 for 9.
